Wearable Narratives #2
The second meeting of the Wearable Narratives DRG was spent talking about e-textile materials and learning basic stitching and soft-circuit techniques. Namely, we saw all the conductive threads and fabrics that were included in the DRG participants’ kits, and then learned how to do a running stitch, a chain stitch, and a couching stitch. Lastly, we used nickel adhesive conductive fabric tape, silver-plated conductive thread, and sewable LEDs to practice some basic e-textile hand-crafting techniques for soft circuits.
