CyberCraft: Re-imagening Technology As a Gendered and Embodied Practice - Fabricademy recitation by Afroditi Psarra

CyberCraft: Re-imagening Technology As a Gendered and Embodied Practice - Fabricademy recitation by Afroditi Psarra

Today I was invited to give a recitation at Fabricademy - a transdisciplinary course that focuses on the development of new technologies applied in the textile industry, in its broad range of applications, from the fashion industry and the upcoming wearable market.

I got to talk briefly about my older work, as well as about my current research, and the work of fellow practitioners whose research alligns with my own, and named the talk “CyberCraft: Re-imagening Technology As a Gendered and Embodied Practice” as it is exploring the cyberfeminist/technofeminist aspects of my work, as well as the idea of embodied cognition which is one of the main concepts behind my use of the body as an interface.
